Designers Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant founded the ready-to-wear brand Coperni in 2013 in Paris. Their experience gained at fashion houses Balenciaga and Chanel provides them with a significant knowledge of embroidery techniques, which they combine in their bags and footwear with a penchant for feminine lines and silhouettes that fluctuate between origami aesthetics and sporty connotations. This mix gives rise to a creative dimension with pronounced artistic and design values. The choice of the brand's name is interesting, referring to the Polish astronomer Copernicus and his heliocentric theory - placing the sun at the center of the solar system - which the two designers wanted to consider as inspiration for their visual horizon. In this spirit, the creative duo launched a bag in 2022 with a symbolic name and nature: "Meteorite," made with pieces of space debris.
