History of the tie
Amongst the accessories that absolutely cannot be missing from a men’s wardrobe, the tie surely occupies first place. When it comes to the origins of the current tie, it was probably a strip of fabric wrapped around the neck of the Roman legionaries with the task of protecting the respiratory tract during the march. It was only during the Thirty Years War (1618-1648) that the first prototype of a tie was made, characterized by a scarf tied around the neck worn by Croatian mercenaries on the border, and it is from them that this accessory takes its name.
Over the years the tie underwent several transformations up to the one we know today.
