Ami Paris for Men
Ami Paris is a fashion company created by Alexandre Mattiussi in 2010. The designer decided to create his own brand after working for Dior Homme, Givenchy and Marc Jacobs. This noteworthy career was recognised internationally in 2017 when the designer par excellence was selected by U.S. magazine GQ as one of the coolest brands in the world, and he created a limited edition capsule collection together with Gap. The Ami Paris style is a successful blend of classic outfits with more casual items: a typically Parisian trend that makes even the smartest items more easy-to-wear. Ami (“friend” in French) aims to create a relaxed, authentic and friendly relationship with fashion, offering outfits that also match family and domestic environments.
Soft and fine jackets and coats
Ami Paris loves being inspired by everyday life and always offers catwalk collections based on urban life in Paris, like the latest show dedicated to menswear revolving around the theme “Parisian Metropolitan” with celebrity guests including Isabelle Adjani and Emily Rataijkowski. The collection offered up jackets and coats with soft, confidential designs, paired with the iconic Ami de Cœur polo neck, with a large “A” on the left side (for Ami). Ami de Cœur is also an inclusivity campaign, with the goal of creating outfits that are increasingly genderless, thanks to unisex hoodies and tops that can be worn by anyone. Recently, the designer Mattiussi has undertaken many partnerships, the most recent being with famous brand K-Way®. In fact, the partnership has produced six jackets by the famous technical sportswear brand in blue and red, the traditional colours of the French brand.
Trousers, jeans and suits for mix’n’match
The Ami Paris suits come in classic black or grey, or brilliant colours like electric blue, fiery red or emerald green. They are always, however, characterised by soft and comfortable design, never too tight or restrictive. Trousers can be accessorised with the brand’s belts ranging from classic, simple and fine, to the rock versions with studs and metal accents. For any doubts on which shoes to pair up with them, there’s no problem because Ami Paris glam-style ankle boots or sneakers both offer perfect solutions thanks to the versatility of this style which avoids excess and can be worn in a million ways.
