Launched in New York City in 2012, Awake NY is the clothing and accessories brand created by Angelo Baque, originally from Queens. Inspired by the urban diversity of New York, Awake NY reflects the designer’s personal influences, capturing the spirit and sensibility of the city's five boroughs. The collections of Awake NY are inspired by the eclecticism of 1990s downtown New York, enriched with refined silhouettes and locally produced essentials. Each season, the brand expands its offering, including sartorial pieces that have become staples. Awake NY collaborates with brands such as Levi’s, Carhartt WIP, ASICS, Vans, Nanamica, Reebok, and Moncler, often creating projects aimed at supporting disadvantaged social causes.
