In 1965 French entrepreneur Léon-Claude Duhamel invented an absolutely innovative waterproof jacket for adults and children, that a few years later would be named K-Way: it is a windproof and rainproof garment intended to be “more comfortable than a raincoat and less bulky than an umbrella.” Subsequent processing means that this garment can be folded and closed inside a pouch pocket. Made of a special nylon that is difficult to crease and extremely light, the K-Way takes up very little space and becomes a pocket with minimal dimensions that can be carried anywhere. In 2004, the brand became part of the Italian BasicNet group, responsible of a major relaunch: from a garment designed exclusively for sports stores, the K-Way also became a protagonist in the general clothing world.
