Men's fashion for winter 2021 looks at the skater style with interest. This time, however, no particular balance skills are required - to hover on the wooden table with wheels or to slide along the sidewalks of the city - it is an expression of freedom and the desire to be comfortable. It represents a 'state of mind' that does not necessarily have an age.
Initially, the skater culture was a non-conformism symbol, of clothes that were not in keeping with the 'city upper class', therefore representative of only a few districts of New York. Prior to streetwear style, international stylists have literally started to plunder the identifying elements of this lifestyle, steeped in contemporary culture. Thus a new chapter of the urban wardrobe has been rewritten which is now appreciated across the board by generations.
Let's start with the sneakers that are as important as a good skateboard: the shoes must in fact guarantee a good stability on the board, which results in a sole that is not too soft, rather flat and wide enough. As for the movements, which should not be forced or limited, the skaters focus on rather wide shapes: cargo pants with a soft crotch and maxi sweatshirts inspired by graffiti art. The winter look, then, is enriched with Scottish shirts, maxi jackets and a wool hat to whiz through the streets of the metropolis.
