Organic cotton from Brazil and Peru paired with natural rubber: since 2005, VEJA has relied almost exclusively on these materials for its women’s and men’s sneakers, respectively for the upper and laces, and the sole. Some models also feature recycled materials, such as plastic from bottles or polyester from second-hand garments, with natural dyes derived from plants or minerals. The minimalist design, produced in Brazil and Portugal, reflects the brand’s principles: environmental respect, economic fairness, and social projects, like the 2020 initiative with DARWIN in Bordeaux. Beyond that, VEJA sneakers can be repaired at select stores or deposited in dedicated recycling containers.
