Sebago Men's collection

It was in 1964 when Daniel J. Wellehan decided to open his own factory in Maine, United States. Sebago-Moc was born, together with William Beaudoin and Joseph Cordeau. They started to produce men’s shoes, especially yachting shoes and loafers, the famous Penny Loafers. A few years later, the brand changed its name to Sebago® and launched the boat shoes Docksides®, which became a trend model among teenagers and university students in the 80s. The high quality of the materials, the craftsmanship, and the classic and timeless design have made it successful. Today, Sebago® items are a must-have to wear every day and on the most formal occasions.

Sebago for men

In the world of men’s footwear, few brands can boast a history as consistent and long-standing as Sebago. Founded in 1964 in Maine, on the coast of New England, the brand was created with a clear purpose: to produce shoes capable of keeping pace with the North American environment — wooden jetties, small sailing boats and windswept university campuses — without ever compromising on style. It is against this backdrop that Sebago men’s has become synonymous with a specific vision of masculine style: clean, straightforward and free from superfluous embellishments, crafted from top-quality materials and using artisanal techniques that stand the test of time. Unlike many brands that chase trends, Sebago has always chosen the opposite path: defining an aesthetic code and maintaining it season after season. The result is footwear that needs no introduction: instantly recognisable and designed to be worn for years.

Sebago men’s shoes

Sebago men’s shoes are built around a few fundamental principles: high-quality leather, handcrafting where necessary and soles designed to ensure grip and durability. The range available on TheDoubleF includes styles that span different categories, from classic moccasins to formal shoes, each with its own identity yet always true to the brand’s craftsmanship values.

The Milton Gyw black leather derby represents the most formal option in the Sebago men’s collection: a lace-up shoe with Goodyear welt construction, a technique that allows resoling and extends the lifespan of the shoe, combined with a polished leather upper and leather sole. It pairs perfectly with a suit or with luxury men’s trousers, but also works with dark denim for a refined smart-casual contrast.

For those looking for an authentic Sebago men’s boat shoe, the Sebago men’s boat shoes from the Portland Flesh Out line are a solid choice. Available in blue suede and brown suede, these Sebago men’s shoes feature a non-slip sole inspired by nautical deck shoes, reinforced stitching and enhanced comfort for prolonged wear. The blue suede version is especially versatile, pairing easily with chinos, linen trousers or denim for a more urban look. Designer men’s shoes with this level of heritage and construction are rare, and Sebago remains one of the few brands able to offer them authentically.

Sebago men’s loafers

The Sebago men’s moccasins represent the core of the brand’s offering. The selection covers a wide range of styles, from the most essential to more refined interpretations, all united by a consistent aesthetic.

The Portland Artisan line reinterprets the classic boat moccasin in a more contemporary way. The chestnut brown Portland Artisan moccasin and the cork beige Portland Artisan moccasin share the same construction — vegetable-tanned leather, hand-stitched detailing and a lightweight rubber sole — while differing in tone: chestnut works well in colder seasons, while cork is ideal for spring and summer. Variants such as the beige Curry and green Jungle add personality without compromising the clean silhouette.

For a more refined option, the classic Dan moccasin remains a timeless reference. Available in black and burgundy, it features a slightly more elongated shape and a more tailored construction, closer in spirit to designer men’s moccasins. Burgundy, in particular, stands out for its depth and versatility. Completing the range are the Acadia Premium burgundy loafer, with elevated craftsmanship, and the black Ales loafer, which introduces a more contemporary silhouette while preserving the quality that has defined Sebago for over sixty years.
