TheDoubleF supports TREEDOM on the occasion of International Earth Day

Protecting the environment means thinking about the future. And to do so TheDoubleF supports the TREEDOM project on the occasion of International Earth Day...

…an annual anniversary celebrating the achievements of the environmental movement and raising awareness on the need of protecting the natural resources of our planet for generations to come.

The next 22 April, in fact, an important contribution will be donated to the certified B Corporation born in 2010 in Florence, allowing the planting of 300 trees in different countries such as Madagascar, Colombia, Tanzania and Kenya.
The aim is to finance agroforestry projects that help the creation of sustainable ecosystems respecting the biodiversity of every individual territory, to protect the environment and contribute to the growth of CO2 absorption, thus generating a benefit for the entire planet.

In addition, through the Treedom digital platform, each tree donated is geolocated, photographed and with its own online page on treedom.net. The initiative can also be strengthened from the ethical-social point of view: the communities working in those areas are formed step by step, acquiring skills that can in turn transfer to others, and all planted trees remain the property of the farmers who take care of them. Fruit trees, in particular, enrich their diet and offer them an income opportunity through sale on local markets. An activity therefore, which also helps to subsidize the commitment of those farmers from all over the world who work for planting, tree management and agricultural systems that differ according to geographical location.

The collaboration between TheDoubleF and Treedom will also involve the community of well-known e-commerce: from the second half of April, those who will buy at least one garment or accessory from the Sustainable section on thedoublef.com website, will receive a unique QR code linked to a specific tree and will follow the history of the project where it will be inserted.

This decision confirms the path already taken by TheDoubleF aimed at supporting the principles of sustainability that look to a responsible fashion as well as to the future: this is a new step to help safeguard our planet. What better time to support the cause than on April 22, 2023, International Earth Day.
