That mischievous Lolita style

That mischievous Lolita style

The character of Lolita has become a cult thanks to the film by Stanley Kubrick in 1962. Now it has been revived for the summer 2019 collections in between micro tops and ruffle skirts

An unenthusiastic attitude, a pout that marks an expression and beauty that has yet to fully bloom. No longer a little girl, not a woman yet. The Lolita of Vladimir Nabokov, brought to the big screen in 1962 by Stanley Kubrick, strongly marked the style of the ‘60s. The image of the 'nymph', already studied in Dante’s works, has a profoundly marked personality, think Brigitte Bardot and Catherine Deneuve. Over the years this same mysterious charm has also traced the success of Brooke Shields, the very young choice for a Calvin Klein advertisement campaign. A true product of the Swap culture.

The 'nymph' is expressed through whims, gaze and pouts, the fashion and the cinema have given a precise and accurate connotation. A mischievous style aimed at tickling the observer’s desire, just as it happens in the film.

The 'Lolita' style of spring summer 2019

There are many references to Brigitte Bardot: vichy fabrics, high-waisted jeans and bikinis, all details to be taken into consideration if you are preparing your summer suitcase 2019, towards French shores. Added to this a more frivolous details, such as dresses with buttons, broderie anglaise skirts and ruffles that show off or hide levels of seduction.

For the accessories we suggest a straw hat, flat sandals and a nice pair of sunglasses. Even better would be a heart-shaped frame in strawberry red.
