Spring is just around the corner and the excitement level is pretty high. There is nothing better than cleaning out your closet and hit the refresh button for a new, seasonable wardrobe. As a minimalist I tend to invest in timeless pieces that could be mixed and matched with just about anything. But the real fun part is to put some seasonal eye-catcher into my virtual shopping cart. Today I'm going to share some of my essential spring favorites I've discovered on TheDoubleF, that are worth the investing.

Without any doubt the trench-coat is the epitome of spring. No matter if you go for the classic version or choose a shorter cut, a trench is always a good idea and totally worth the investment. I love to pair it with an all-black look which makes it pop even more. But you might also want to layer it with a Blazer underneath or even wrap your favorite knit sweater on top – anything would perfectly match it. Tipp: Try a leather trenchcoat or a cotton trench in oxblood or khaki for a bit of a twist.

When it comes to pants & trousers, I love an oversized, slightly boyish fit. Luckily this season is all about oversized pants so there's a lot in store right now! My favorite is a pair of loose-fitting pants made of wool or linen, since you can wear them with just about anything from a simple T-Shirt or Shirt to an eye-catching Sweater or Jacket. This season, lots of brands like Marni or Stella McCartney have some great designs. For the evening I'd totally go with the ALEXANDER McQUEEN wide-leg trousers, paired with a cami top and a nice Blazer. You can even wear them with a tank top and slides during the day...
