The first women’s footwear brand workshop Castañer was founded in 1927 by transforming a popular shoe into a sophisticated fashion item. The meeting with Yves Saint Laurent in the 70s gave life to the creation of the first wedge espadrille, a women’s evergreen that reached the whole world.
