So, how did you guys meet?
Linda: We met at a party of a mutual friend. We exchanged numbers and e-mail addresses. MSN chat was very popular ATM! We started chatting and quickly became friends. One year later, when I went to university I bumped into him at the subway station. He was living one block away from where my university was.
Renwe: Yeah… meeting her at that train station for me was like 'oh, it's meant to be'.
How does a regular Valentine's Day look for you? Walk us through!
Linda: It's really not that romantic! I'm either in NY because of fashion week or on my way back. I usually bring some chocolate for him. It was different at the beginning of our relationship, we would go out for a romantic dinner and he would buy me a gift (14 years ago).
Renwe: Well, this Valentine's Day I will make it special. I will take her to the movies and after that, a special dinner.
Best spots in New York for date night?
Linda: For cocktails, definitely Attaboy (134 Eldridge St) or Nitecap (151 Rivington St). For dinner, I'd say Rintintin (14 Spring St),
The Fat Radish (17 Orchard St) or Dudleys (85 Orchard St).
Renwe: For me, Death & Co (433 E 6th St), Pegu club (77 W Houston St), and Latern's Keep (49 W 44th St).
They all say Paris is the most romantic city... What do you guys think?
Linda: Paris is a beautiful city. Cozy restaurants, romantic architecture and lively city lights during nighttime. But I actually think that Italy is more romantic. Because of the atmosphere, the narrow streets, the small restaurants, the vibe, the colors.
Renwe: I adore Paris, it really is a nice city, but I definitely think Rome is more romantic because of its architecture and friendly people at nice bars.
Choose one: Pub-hopping in Soho or a stroll around Hyde Park?
Linda: A stroll around Hyde Park.
Renwe: A stroll around Hyde Park!
Where will you go for your next romantic getaway?
Linda: Marrakech.
Renwe: Our next romantic trip will be Marrakech during the Spring.
