Wardrobe essentials to wear now and forever

Wardrobe essentials to wear now and forever

There is something exciting about the arrival of the new season, when we put aside romantic summer dresses and strappy sandals to happily search for the next season’s staples so we can see them hanging in our wardrobe right away before they are gone… I mean, who likes the feeling of empty shopping basket with the message: “Sorry, it’s sold out”? But don’t get me wrong. Those who know me, know how crazy I am about fashion. They also know I believe in mindful consumption and focusing on closet essentials, where there is no room for mistakes. Fortunately, today we don't have to choose between soulless classics and bizarre trends. The designers look for solutions based on actual women’s needs, exploring modern cuts, unexpected details and great quality pieces that we would want to wear now and love forever.

As a former editor in chief of fashion online magazines and current fashion influencer working in the industry for 13 years, I am constantly scanning social media and most fashionable platforms in a search for the eye-catching heroes, that are worth investing on.

Therngreat beige suit

A classic yet so modern suit in all shades of beige, became the most wanted fashion staple of last seasons. From the street style favorite to workwear must have, it turns out to be number one fashion girl’s obsession. Looking at fall collections I couldn’t resist this tailored Max Mara suit in light camel shade. Beyond its visually pleasing silhouette, the allure of the suit lies in its comfort cozy feeling thanks to ultra-soft cashmere fabric. Combined with light wool turtleneck and black slingback mules from Bottega Veneta, it will work for many occasions.

The classic seasonal coat

You will probably nod while I am saying: there is no fall without the great camel coat of 90’s minimalism reminiscent. Like this double-breasted exceptional piece from one of my favorite Scandinavian brands - Samsøe Samsøe. Made of recycled wool blend, featuring a long and straight design with a buttoned fastening to the front in a beautiful camel shade designed for Fall/Winter 20/21 Collection. Whether teamed with chunky loafers, jeans and T-shirt or favorite coordinating color suit, it’s the perfect companion for joyful autumn days.

Thernknitted dress

Forget about the little black dress. This season the knitted dress is a fashion game changer. And it shouldn’t come as a surprise as prioritizing comfort became one of the most important trends of 2020. Mastering deconstructed knitted styles for Bottega Veneta, Daniel Lee gave women the new easy going, minimalistic silhouette that can be basically combined with everything. Luxurious textures and neutral palettes are the key as it comes to the styling rules. This ultimate investment piece loved by the street style crowd will give an effortless touch to your fall wardrobe whether worn during (home) office hours or the cocktail hour.

ThernIT accessories

Bottega Veneta has become a leader as it comes to most influential leather goods. Thanks to the vision of the artistic director and the new modern aesthetic based on the heritage of the fashion house, the Italian label’s accessories have gained the status of the most popular of the moment. After all, winning Britain’s Fashion Awards in Accessories Designer of the Year category obliges. What won women’s hearts is the contemporary approach to the game twisted with unexpected details and forms. Mix quirky, sculptural, insanely recognizable styles and you will receive the receipt of Bottega Veneta’s success. And if you ever think you will get bored with any of the iconic styles - just look at this Paper Pouch bag in kraft paper effect featuring an oversize structure like a piece of wearable art. It’s definitely a lot more than just an accessory.
