Famous for their conceptual and avant-garde designs, Viktor & Rolf have always challenged the fashion industry, bringing together the worlds of fashion and art with their theatrical and over-the-top approach.
It's actually quite easy to spot the transformation of their 'Wearable Art' through the Tulle 'remakes'. Longtime fans will no-doubt get their favorites back: the shirts-on-shirts, the unforgettable bed dress, the dimensional 'NO' trench. So here is what Viktor & Rolf came up with. Launched on the occasion of their upcoming 25th year anniversary, the designers are bringing back some of the Maison's most iconic couture collections such as 'NO', 'Flowerbomb', and 'Cutting Edge Couture', reinterpreting them for an all-over contemporary feel. All the pieces of this collection are meant for effortless layering with jeans and tees. They all come in a delicious-looking palette of lively pastel colors, mixing a chic see-through tulle with major macro-lettering and proud bows.
Here at TheDoubleF the ultimate top two items of choice -a very hard choice too, cos we love the entire Tulle capsule collection - would probably have to be the 'NO' t-shirt in black tulle and the 'Many Bows' t-shirt in blue. They could both be worn with an extra-sleek pair of black vinyl trousers for a texture-rich total look.
