Men's fashion for spring summer 2022 is no longer an image of hope, a minimalism waiting to explode with joy: the fashion shows - mostly digital - are a real journey that nourish the desire for freedom, movement and light-heartedness. Garments and accessories almost take a back seat, because the designers have focused on sensations and emotions, between escapes from the city, hope that continues to be cradled and light-heartedness.
At Prada, Raf Simons’ collection is designed to be in contact with nature, the beach and the sea. The passage from the claustrophobic red tunnel to the Sardinian beach is exemplary, wearing a pair of classy black patent leather shoes, a pair of rolled-up shorts and a sweatshirt with a 1960s pattern.
Essential in color for Jil Sander who proposed an interpretation of the 90s style with a block color look in the sweetest hues, reminiscent of small macarons. The trousers are wide, characterized by a high waist with pleats and a wide leg that rests on sneakers and boots. The must-have accessory is the baseball cap.
Coordinated suits in geometric patterns and tailored suits always proposed in the ultra-relaxed version, Lanvin offers a vision of comfort that does not stray from that typical French refinement, poised between casual and chic. On her feet, a pair of slides covered with crystals and sequins, also perfect for long summer nights.
Finally, the festive vision of Dolce & Gabbana: the set is the former Metropol cinema in Milan, where a 2000s disco atmosphere has been recreated (the new generation uses the acronym Y2K, year to kilo). Ripped jeans or with crystal appliqués, exposed elastic of the briefs, deep necklines, thongs with thick soles and logoed t-shirts, as well as laminated fabrics and sequins.
