What is your relationship with fashion like?

My relationship with fashion is rooted in the one with my dad’s mom. She’s always been my biggest icon and inspirational source. I’ve never bought any fashion magazine; I have always looked at my grandmother and the way she dressed. I remember her walkable closet when I was young and I would have spent hours in there drifting into dreamy worlds while looking at all the clothes, patterns and colors in there.

If you were to dress elegant for the presentation of a movie, which would be your favorite picks?

I think it’s important to understand if it’s your own premiere or if you are lucky to be invited to somebody else’s. If the latter is the case I’d dress more understatement, probably in a nice suit. Elegant but not stealing anyone’s show. If it was my own premiere, these are the moments where you get to celebrate what an entire team built together. So, my outfit would definitely reflect this. At the moment I love long, shaped silky or glittery dresses in silver or black tones but this varies from time to time.

Which are the 3 features you appreciate the most of yourself? Choose a brand that embodies every single one of them.

I’d prefer others to do so but I’ll try to find a few characteristics I see in myself and connect each to one of my favorite brands. Here we go: Creativity. I find a lot of it in the designs by Prada. Consciousnesses. Stella McCartney is an outstanding example from the very beginning of talking sustainability. Clarity. Saint Laurent always impresses with clear cuts and timeless designs.

What’s your everyday outfit like and the one you choose to feel cozy and comfy on set?

On a daily or on set, especially during winter time, coziness is most important. Comfortable pants, soft knits, chunky boots and an oversize coat or puffer.

What are your favorite picks and palettes for this season?

Beige is a classic but at the moment I am also enjoying some brown, burgundy and olive tones.

Which role does your family and friends play in your job?

I love my family and friends more than anything else and I’ve learned a lot from them along my way and am very grateful for the support they have always given to me. Still, in the end it all comes down to yourself and how determined you are to walk along a path that can be very hard and rocky sometime. No one can really help you along this, you need to find your own recipe and ask yourself what truly makes you happy and go for it until the end.

Which actors and actresses are your inspiration source and why?

I don’t take my inspiration from actors; I tend to lean more towards life and its stories to get inspired. I am like a sponge; I love listening to other people talking about their lives. Of course, there’s been actors I’ve been fascinated by. James Dean is one of them, the myth, the looks, the decade he became famous. Or Romy Schneider.

I am always looking for characters, for twist and turns within a person, for vulnerability, for challenge and struggle, I want to look beyond a person, you might call it soul. This is where I get intrigued”.
