Founded in 2016 by designers Lili Atherton Hanbury and Katya Shyfrin, the women's footwear brand Le Monde Béryl is based in the United Kingdom, but production is located in Italy. The term "Béryl" defines a family of Indian gemstones including emeralds, aquamarines and morganites, which are attributed the value of talismans, particularly for travelers and artists. The use of the best Italian materials, leather but also fabric and velvet, worked with craftsmanship and sustainable processes, allows the creation of footwear also made iconic by the details that characterize them: studs, mesh and Texan buckles. Among the main sources of inspiration for the footwear of Le Monde Béryl are the traditional slippers of Venetian gondoliers, which become ballerinas with refined and essential lines.
