The boho chic fashion trend is back to stay
After 20 years, the boho chic style is once again dominating the international scene, with Sienna Miller still its muse.
Summer 2004. Sienna Miller walks through the streets of London wearing a pair of shorts, leather boots, and a frou-frou top. Soon after, she dons a very light dress: not a vintage piece but a creation by Phoebe Philo for Chloé. Her wardrobe immediately becomes the image of boho chic style, anticipating one of the strongest trends of the 2000s. Twenty years later, the actress reappears in front of the Chloé Fall Winter 2024-2025 show, for the debut of Chemena Kamali, now the creative director of the French maison but then an assistant to Philo. Her presence marks the return of that fresh, light, and informal style, but in a different way, more aware of its femininity. It is the dawn of the new boho chic.
Needless to say, the fashion show was a manifesto, a turning point if we consider just a year ago when Quiet Luxury, made up of non-colors and clean lines, dominated. Here it is the opposite: powdery shades, very light fabrics for a fluid and alluring effect, and exotic details that complete the layered and airy outfits. And Sienna is there to witness this return, dressed in a white slip dress and a black leather jacket, with a pair of very high wooden wedges on her feet.
The idea is to have a look always in motion thanks to the lightness that can manifest through volume, asymmetry, or ruffles that are applied a bit everywhere. All this, very ethereal, does not give up the almost obsessive search for the perfect accessory: important in shape, clearly inspired by exoticism, echoing that hippie fashion of the '70s but in a luxury version. The material is not poor, it is golden and shiny, studied to create an eye-catching design ready to jingle with every step. In short, fashion is free to express itself and to be always heard.
