YOUNG EMPERORS | Love & Style at first sight
The Christmas holidays are just around the corner and the most popular destinations for tourists from all over the world are, as always, Paris and New York. The lights, the scents and the snow create a magical atmosphere really sought after in this special time of the year.
We chose to fly to New York where the Young Emperors were waiting for us, one of the most popular and admired couples on social networks.
Nelson Tiberghien and Isabelle Chaput are two digital creatives who have chosen to share their passion for fashion in a truly original way: every post or reel they published amuses but above all inspires in terms of style and lifestyle with on-trend garments and accessories that they always show with authenticity and elegance.
We interviewed them about private life and fashion tips, without of course leaving behind the fun.
What’s the most vivid childhood memory you have about Christmas?
Isabelle: So many memories, but of course being together with the whole family, seeing my cousins, eating the delicious food that my mother cooked, the effervescent energy of getting the house ready to receive, the old iconic Christmas movies (like « Le père Noël est une ordure ») that would be on TV, and of course, the gifts.
Nelson: When my parents woke me up at 3am to try on my Power Rangers suit when I was about 4 years old.
Where do you usually spend Christmas?
Usually with our Family in France. We take time between each other’s families to get quality time that we usually don’t get during the year.
How is Christmas time like in NYC?
Christmas season in NYC is wonderful, with beautiful decorations and lights all over the city, it’s truly magical, and it feels like a movie.
What are your Christmas habits?
Isabelle: In France they would always show the same old movies on TV for Christmas, and we would always watch the movies « Sissi » with my mother, it’s one of my favorite memory. Also the advent calendar is a big tradition in my family and we would always have one each (my brothers and I).
Nelson: Spending as much time as possible with our families. It also means eating and drinking a lot ha-ha!
If Christmas was something to eat, what would it be?
Isabelle: To me, it would be marzipan, because my family knows that I love it, and keeps gifting it to me every year.
Nelson: Raclette

How to stay warm and cozy without giving up on style? Any suggestions?
There are so many great fashion pieces available now that you don’t have to give up comfort for fashion. Brands are becoming practical and still keeping a great aesthetic, for example a nice cashmere set in a neutral color always look super elegant while being extremely comfortable.

Where do you go shopping for Christmas gifts? What are the gifts you prefer to buy for your relatives?
We love TheDoubleF website of course, with a great variety of high fashion options for the fashion enthusiasts of the family, but we also love to gift pieces of sentimental value, like last year when I embroidered handkerchiefs with the initials of each member.
Did you write letters to Santa? If so, where did you mail them? Did you ever hear back from the North Pole?
Nelson: Yes we talk a lot with Santa. He is a very good friend, I also had the chance to play soccer with him couple times, when he came down from the chimney.
Isabelle: I had my fair share of discussions with him on the phone as a child, and his answers were a little bit robotic.
